Stoke Newington Wedding Bash

This Saturday marked a very special day – watching one of my best friends tie the knot! The wedding took place in Stoke Newington right by Clissold Park, which is a park that holds a special place in my heart (I have spent many a weekend morning running around it with my husband come rain or shine). What was so undeniably special about this wedding was the local and celebratory feel it had towards this area of North London… From sipping prosecco in the park post-ceremony, to strolling (rather merrily) through London backstreets in our frocks and ties, to eating and partying hard at local residential pub The Londesborough.

The impeccable style of the day is testament to the creative couple (the previously mentioned Helen and Robin). The muted color pallets of the market bought flowers, mint green Aliana bridesmaid dresses from Ted Baker, and hand-made pom poms all helped form the visual feast we were lucky enough to see. From the subtle groups of colour to the charming glass bottle displays, from the scrabble letters for table names to the graffiti on pavements, this wedding was full of style and elegance – so effortless. It made me want to get married all over again and has inspired a colour palette for some new prints. Watch. This. Space.

Wedding Invite – POW

You cannot imagine the delight I felt to receive this. Helen Baylis and her fabulous fiancé (aka Helenrobin on Etsy) have designed their own wedding stationery including this very beautiful invite, RSVP card and envelope.

Why I adore it (other than the fact she is a wonderful friend and the only person who will join me Spinning, on a Tuesday night in Old Street) is the fresh & well-constrained colour palette, the vintage typography and the stylised illustration of LANDAN TAN. It’s a summery, playful and well executed invite.  What tops it off is that Mr Fiancé Robin hand sculpted this very card you see before your eyes, giving it that premium and unique feel. In my book it makes this piece all the more credible. This invite was literally carved out of love, and I love them both for designing this.
